Live music is alive and well in North Herts. Letchworth has music at Plinston Hall, but these are mainly tribute bands, which though some are proficient, it frankly is just not the same.

If you want to see new music, bands play at Arena Tavern Letchworth and Club 85 Hitchin and a variety of other venues. Some bigger acts appear occasionally in Stevenage at Gordon Craig Theatre  they had Greg Lake of ELP last year. There is also the annual Rythyms of the World Festival in Hitchin which closes most of the town down for a very mixed weekend of music and there is more music at the annual Baldock Festival.
